Preparation
Most paint failures are prep failures. Washing, sanding, filling and priming take the bulk of the time on almost every job we do, and we would rather quote higher than skip it.

Who you are dealing with
Prestige Painting Newcastle is run by Luke and Adam. Between them they have more than 25 years in the trade, and both are still on the tools. When you ring, you get one of them — not a booking service, not a subcontractor you have never met turning up on the morning.
We are a small outfit on purpose. It means we can only take on so much at once, but it also means the person who quoted your job is the person standing in your hallway painting it.
We are fully licensed and insured — NSW contractor licence 381238C, public liability and workers compensation cover, trading under ABN 42 691 332 546. Ask to see any of it and we will send it through.

What matters to us
Most paint failures are prep failures. Washing, sanding, filling and priming take the bulk of the time on almost every job we do, and we would rather quote higher than skip it.
You get a start date and we keep it. If weather stops exterior work we ring you that morning rather than leaving you wondering.
Drop sheets up, tape off, rubbish taken with us. Living rooms are usable again at the end of the day, not a fortnight later.
Local
We are Newcastle based and we work across the Hunter — the beach suburbs, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock and up to Port Stephens.
Being local is not a slogan on a trades website. It means we know which exteriors get hammered by salt air, which older suburbs still have lead paint under the top layers, and how long a coat really takes to cure in a Newcastle February.
You can check any NSW licence yourself on the Service NSW licence check. We would rather you did.
Send through what needs painting and your suburb. We will come out and give you a fixed written quote.
